Echoing Travelogues: The Beyond and Us, led by artistic director Emine Bostancı, is an immersive performance that brings together music, history, and storytelling. The international ensemble bridges Ottoman, Persian, and European traditions, spanning Ottoman court music, Mevlevi ritual traditions, Persian classical music, and European Baroque repertoire. Inspired by the travel diaries of diplomats and explorers from the 15th to 18th centuries, the project explores how cultures define themselves through encounters with "the other." The performance utilizes historical instruments and 4D sound design to reimagine iconic spaces like Hagia Sophia and Topkapı Palace, creating a richly layered artistic experience.
